As the demand for denim fabrics is growing in the domestic market; KGDL sales in both premier international brands operating in India and also to large exporters of readymade garments have increased. The Euro Zone financial crisis has affected its sales in that region this financial year. Compensating this, the sales campaign in the South American market has started yielding results. Of course, sales in North America are on the increase.
The Indian denim industry enjoys a high growth potential, and this scenario is expected to gain momentum in the months to come.
The manufacturer specializes in yarn count ranges from 7s to 60s and has also expertise in products with 3-ply fine yarns. The weaves include twills, Broken twills, Gabardines, cavalry twills, tussors, canvas, bedford cord, Ottoman, satin, matt, and design weaves in dobby. The fabrics are offered in several finishes, including Lafer diamond emery finish, E.T.I., Oil & Water repellant, Silicon Finish, Soil release finish, Teflon coating, PU Coating, Wax finish, Anti Bacterial finish, etc. Apart from 100 per cent cotton several blends like Cotton Tencel, Cotton Bamboo, Cotton Linen, Cotton Lycra, Cotton Poly Lycra, etc., are offered to suit different customer needs.
Autumn-Winter Season 2012
The fabrics developed for Autumn-Winter’12 season focus on slub yarns and combed ring yarns in warp and weft in the weight range of 9 oz and 12 oz. The AW’12 range is categorized as Fine Shirting, Classic Rigids and Comfort Stretch covering almost 75 new fabrics.
Fine shirting fabrics are of 100 per cent cotton using combination of combed and compact ring yarns. The fabrics are between 4.5 oz and 6.0 oz and have a silk touch while you feel the fabric though they are made out of cotton. Indigo Chambray in light weight is worth wearing.
Classic Rigid’s are again of 100 per cent cotton with new colors like Carbon Blue, Dark Real Blue, Dark Dank Blue and Dark James Green added to the existing colors. To have the fabrics look dark, their designers have done resin finish over mercerized fabrics. These fabrics have a soft hand and you feel very comfortable wearing them.
Comfort Stretch are increasing in popularity and are very much in trend for all age groups. They are developed with 1.5% and 2% Lycra/spandex content resulting in good stretchability and growth.

Manufacturing set-up

Processing comprises indigo dyeing of yarns in various concentrations, fabric dyeing using reactive & vat in E-control dyeing technology, equipments from world leading suppliers like Benninger for continuous bleaching & mercerizing, Monforts & Kuster continuous dyeing equipments, and Bruckner Stenter & Ramish Gurneri Calendar.
