Jay Chemicals decided to opt for the Mini Lario as a solution for conventional technology. It found that Mini Lario can be a substitute to Flat-bed printing. Skilled labour is an issue in the factory and as they already had 4 JP7 they didn’t want add more number of machines, instead they wanted one machine to take up the job of four machines. Considering that the cost of conventional and digital is narrowing, Jay Chemicals decided to invest in Mini Lario.
The Indian digital printer market is projected to grow exponentially over the next few years. Digital textile printing offers clear advantages in terms of less impact on the environment (less emission of water, energy savings, less carbon footprint). Digital textile printers consume 60% less water when compared to traditional printing. It reduces up to 40% CO2 emission. Also, with digital printing solution, the process time is reduced from three weeks to three days. These printers have the capacity to print more than 10 million meters every month.
Increasing productivity, reduced cost of consumables, inclination towards creativity, finer details customization and growing demand for short runs are reasons for higher demand and a great future for digital textile printing in India.
Today, digital textile printers are designed to print on fabrics, including silk, cotton, wool, viscose, linen, rayon, jersey and synthetic. It is ideally suited for applications like home-furnishings, digital printed fabrics, sarees, printed dupatta, kaftan, kurtis, tunics, scarves, stoles and shawls.
