The company created a buzz a few years ago when it launched the automatic cone packing system for box and bag packing. It has now launched an automatic cone inspection system which will be displayed at Texfair 2022
Coimbatore-based Indo Texnology is considered a top name in the automation and monitoring systems’ space. The company, known for its strong research and development focus and product innovation, has made deep inroads into the market and is all set to showcase its solutions at the forthcoming Texfair 2022. Speaking about the company’s performance in FY 2021-22, Managing Director S Thirupathi said, “We saw satisfying recovery, the order inflow was quite good in the second half and we hope the trend continues.” The company has launched quite a few new products in the recent past.
Elaborating, Thirupathi said, “We had launched the automatic cone packing system for box and bag packing a few years ago. We have now launched the automatic cone inspection system. We have moved our popular ‘Sortlink’ from a sensor-based to camera to computer vision artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Earlier there were some issues with space and certain colours as well as difficulty in training the workers to use the system. With the latest version of Sortlink, all these constraints have been overcome. It is now a plug-and-play product and showcases our expertise in computer vision and AI. Many of our customers are now upgrading to the latest version.”
Welcoming the government’s policy initiatives such as the PLI Scheme and the proposal to set up mega textile parks as well as the push given to the manmade fibre segment, Thirupathi said, “Our fortunes are closely tied up with that of our end customers and it is heartening to note that many big groups have availed of the government’s schemes. Expansion programme are now underway and all this will benefit players like us.” Highlighting some of the key reasons that give the company its competitive edge, he commented: “We develop our products with an intense knowledge of application and the most appropriate technology. They are not easy to replicate. You need an excellent grasp of application at the user end and the technology.”
“We don’t do reverse engineering. Most of our products are conceived and designed from scratch. We undertake detailed studies, understand the problems faced by the customers and then conceive our solutions. You also need to remember that sometimes these problems are not even articulated clearly by the customers,” he added. The company is now looking forward to meeting customers from around the world at Texfair 2022. “Our team is all excited. You can visit us at Stall No. BB 34-36. The exhibition will give us a chance to interact with our customers after quite some time,” Thirupathi said.
“Visitors can look forward to interacting with our experts as well as go through detailed audio-visual presentations. We are now associated with the well-known Craftsman Automation Ltd. to adopt and promote automatic storage and retrieval system to the textile industry. We already have quite a few installations,” he added. Finally, sharing his vision for the company’s growth five years down the line, Thirupathi said, “We are looking to grow in the space of automation, monitoring and digitisation within the textile industry. We understand that there will be challenges. We are geared to face them. We will continue to launch new, cost-effective and user-friendly solutions.”
