Bharat Beams exhibited the latest innovations in warper and weaver beams, both of which have newly developed flanges. Mr. Snehal Panchal, Director of the company based in Ahmedabad, said the new warper beams are very robust compared to the earlier version of beams, considering the weight and volume ratio. The new beams also have very smooth curves and help in reducing energy consumption.
In the case of weaver beams, Bharat Beams has provided more ribs to the flanges to offer more strength to the beams.

Rimtex Industries from Wadhwan is a leading manufacturer and exporter of sliver handling systems, material handling systems, castor wheels, spinning rings and ring travellers. It was the fifth time that the company participated in ITMA.
The company has introduced in all its products at ITMA. In sliver handling systems, it has come with a utility combination can, which gives spinners several advantages. In castor wheels too, it has launched new pattern designs.

The Navi Mumbai-based Mangal Singh Bros displayed its new hydro-carbon apron for texturising applications made from special polymers, which offers longer life and better performance even in extreme conditions.
Mr. Sheth, Business Manager of the company, stated that they are already marketing this new apron in the Chinese and Taiwanese markets and was at ITMA to market it to clients in other countries.

Lohia Corp, with its headquarters in New Delhi, has participated in the last three editions of ITMA. At ITMA 2015 the company showcased winders for carpet backing yarns and a rope winder is used after the extrusion process. Mainly, the company is looking at the huge replacement market in Europe, and according to Mr. Anil Bagga, Vice President (Business Development), most of the winders with companies are very old, which translates into excellent potential for the company’s winders in the European market.

Ringmann rings higher efficiency to spinners
Ringmann which participated at ITMA for the fourth time has redeveloped its range of rings by adding a superior coating to the rings which helps spinners to have lesser hairiness and higher efficiency due to fewer breaks leading to higher productivity.
Mr. Vijay Anand, General Manager, said the company was happy with the response it got at ITMA. The company is exporting to all continents except Australia, adding up to 30 countries.

Wintex happy with overall response
Wintex Engineering Co. of Coimbatore, which participated in ITMA for the third time, is in the market since 1965 and has been exporting since 1967. It is mainly known for its quality textile spare parts, primarily catering to the spinning segment and also open-end spinning.
The main export market for Wintex is the American continent, from South America to Canada in the North. Apart from this, it also caters to the South-East Asian market.
Mr. Bala Sundaram Rajagopal, CEO of the company, observed they still have customers whom they have been exporting to since the last 40 years. This time too, they received good response and serious enquiries from new clients from various countries.

ABC Systems, with its headquarters in Coimbatore, participated in ITMA for the second time. The company produces humidification systems and waste collection systems with a very strong technology base. Apart from India, the company also has a strong hold in the Bangladesh market.

Unirols Card Clothing India of Coimbatore presented its entire card clothing range at ITMA 2015. The company specializes in flat tops.

ICC’s maintenance equipment for card tops
The Pune-based Indian Card Clothing displayed maintenance equipment for tops in revolving flat cards. The equipments help measure the height of the tops and their variation, and in the second round, a resharpening is done based on the variation that has been identified.
Going into details, Mr. Mehul Trivedi, Managing Director of the company, said reading can be measured through blue tooth either on a PC, tablet or a mobile device and which can also be printed. This helps avoid errors when taking down measurements. All these put together minimize the downtime of the machine.

VXL introduces high-speed ring travellers
The first-time ITMA participant VXL Ring Travellers of Coimbatore, is in the market since 18 years. It has introduced Nano Plus and Super Starjet ring travellers at ITMA 2015, which are designed for higher speeds of up to 22,000-23,000 rpm as against 19,000-20,000 rpm of its earlier models.
The new ring travellers offer a higher lifetime and also help improve the yarn quality. The company is also presenting travellers for compact spinning.
VXL currently exports its products to countries like China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia.

The Ahmedabad-based Gayatri Textile Machines presented two newly-developed models of cots grinding machines at ITMA 2015.
Going into details, Mr. R.R. Patel, Technical Director of the company, said that Gayatri has developed a technology which helps reduce time and efforts taken when grinding cots of various spinning technologies. It has also developed a new mini-cots grinding model.

Canspin launches modified pantograph
Canspin, based out of Surendranagar, is a producer of spinning cans, castor wheels and textile trolleys. ITMA 2015 was the first time that the company had participated in. It launched a new spinning can with a modified pantograph at ITMA.
According to Mr. Tarun Varmora, CEO of the company, the modified pantograph will help produce better quality yarns and is an in-house development. The company which was started just two years back is currently exporting to more than 10 countries such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Guatemala.

MAG Solvics’ online single spindle monitoring system
The Coimbatore-based MAG Solvics launched an online single spindle monitoring system named the Spinfo. The online single spindle system detects each and every break in a bobbin and also cites about the reason for the breakage. This helps analyze reasons for the break and take corrective action immediately, leading to higher productivity.
An operator just needs to keep a watch on the panel, which indicates where the breakage has happened and attend to it immediately, and does not need to take rounds of the machine intermittently.
Mr. C.D. Pani, Director of the company, stated that the stall visitors were amazed with the Spinfo and that a customer has even placed a trial order.
The company also displayed a high volume of fibre testing equipment, evenness tester and single yarn tester.

Lakshmi Card Clothing (LCC) showcased a brand new card clothing wire, which is highly durable and long lasting while also helping improve the quality of yarns.
According to Mr. Harishankar, the wire is made with better technology and superior metallurgy and is produced on state-of-the-art machines.
The company exports its products to over 30 countries and practically all continents. Exports account for 35 per cent of its production.

Reshmi winder packs more yarn in cones
Reshmi Industries from Coimbatore launched a propeller assembly precision winder machine at ITMA 2015. According to Mr. K.B. Sajan of the company, compared with yarn wound on a conventional machine, the new winder packs 25 per cent more yarn with the same diameter, which can save labour costs to a large extent.
The company also introduced at the show an automatic sewing thread tube winding which has an online packing facility.

Sonner Feeding displays Masterbatch dosing systems
Sonner Feeding Systems is into masterbatch dosing systems for the chemical fibre industry. Mr. Prashant Tatkare, Director of the company, said that the company has its technology to most of the chemical fibre producers in India. The technology is used to produce coloured yarns – POY, FDY, nylon, PSF, etc. The manufacturing unit is in China and a marketing office in Mumbai. India is the second biggest market for the company, after China.

After introducing auto-doffing machines in India, Himson Engineering from Surat launched these machines at ITMA for the global market. The machine has metered yarn packages to help the end-user reduce wastage of yarn. It also has an online tension monitoring system, which helps deliver better quality of yarn.
According to Mr. Darshan Bachkaniwala of the company, the company also displayed texturising machines at ITMA.

Sumanlal J. Shah’s flat drive conversion for carding
Sumanlal J. Shah & Co. of Coimbatore, which participated in ITMA for the third time launched a flat drive conversion for carding for the global market at the event.
According to Mr. Prashant Shah, the new technology offers energy savings. The company which caters the requirements of spares from blowroom to autoconers, received good response at ITMA.
The company exports to around 20 countries like South Korea, Argentina, Mexico, Indonesia and Egypt.

Simta Machinery of Coimbatore, showcased an improved bobbin transport system, in which it has made the railings from steel instead of aluminum, along with other components like train and traverse. With this, there will be no need to replace consumable spares for five years.

Peass Industrial Engineers launched an innovative length controlling system in its precision winding machine, which helps bring down wastage from five-six per cent to almost nil. Going into details, Mr. Bhargav Patel, Executive Director of the company, said the machine is one of the most accurate ones available in the market. Peass Industrial Engineers has also developed a new auto-doffing system which is currently undergoing tests.

Jupiter Comtex’ Indigo rope dyeing technology
Jupiter Comtex Pvt. Ltd., a well-known name in the Indian textile industry, introduced a new innovation in Indigo rope dyeing technology at ITMA 2015. Since it was not possible to display the whole technology, the company showed important components of the machine, viz., the Lease Reed & Ball Warping Headstock; Indigo Dye Tank of Rope Dyeing and the Headstock of the Long Chain Beamer.
According to Ms. Arohita Mistry, Director, Jupiter Comtex, the Indigo rope dyeing technology is well proven among various yarn counts to obtain deep Indigo shades of around six per cent in which ropes are prepared on ball warping, after which cones are converted into ropes. Hence, there is no yarn wastage or shade variation. The technology also ensures higher productivity due to the continuous process.
Explaining what makes the Jupiter Comtex Indigo rope dyeing machine technologically different from others, Ms. Mistry highlighted a few key points: It has a tension control system which is digital, while reliability is high as critical parts like drives, sensors, load cell, etc., are imported from Europe. Additionally, the PLC controlled pre-calibrated cup dosing system is more accurate and reliable than the metering pump dosing system.

Confident’s compact waste water treatment technology
The Coimbatore-based Confident Engineering introduced a new waste water treatment technology at ITMA. According to Mr. C. Ratnakumar, MD of the company, conventionally coagulant chemicals are used to treat waste water, which, however, results in huge volumes of sludge, with no consistency in treatment, while biological plants offered by foreign companies need huge space and face maintenance issues.
To beat these shortcomings, Confident has come up with a new technology called electro-coagulation, which also does not need any biological process and is very compact. The company uses normal MS plates and a coagulant called Ferrous Hydroxide, which coagulates and removes all the colours and solids from the waste water.
Mr. Ratnakumar said the initial investment on the new technology is very low, or 60 per cent when compared with conventional technologies.

Paramount presents five new products
Paramount Instruments, with its headquarters in Delhi, displayed five new products at ITMA. The first is a swatch cutter, which Mr. Sachin Bhatia, NSM of the company, claims is the world’s most economical priced cutter, with quality being at par with other suppliers. The second is a formaldehyde content tester which too is also very economical priced with comparable testers available in the market. The third is a yarn contamination tester in which the company has incorporated a special torch due to which only the contaminated part will be highlighted.
Another launch was a computerized tensile tester for checking strength or elongation of fabrics or yarns. The last is a weatherometer, which checks how much colour a fabric will lose when exposed to sunlight.

Advanced Graphics’ dyehouse management system
Advanced Graphics Systems from Mumbai, represented a company from Israel called Arel Controls which offers a complete dyehouse management and automation system or what can be called an “on-time accurate chemical dispensing system”.
Elaborating on the system, Mr. Rajesh Shah of Advanced Graphics System said that its features include a guided weighing system and a dissolver. The whole operations are controlled by a central system. The other benefits include accuracy of weighing and dispensing, leading to nil shade variations and huge reduction in redyeing of fabrics.

Schoch unveils “Generation to Consumption” Air Audit Service
The Kolhapur-based Schoch Reeds India displayed energy-saving reeds, a new development from the company, at ITMA 2015. It also unveiled new services which the company calls “Generation to Consumption”. Under this concept, Schoch does an audit of air usage which is an important component of production costs and helps reduce energy consumption. In India, it offers this service under the name of ‘EReed’, and to Itema for which it is an OEM it offers the service under the name of ‘IReed’.
According to Mr. Bhushan Dhavate, Manager Marketing, Schoch Reeds India, the company has a team of dedicated service engineers who do the air audit across the whole flow of air, offering solutions to reduce air consumption.
He said that the services help save air usage by 15-20 per cent depending on the machine and the fabrics produced.

Seiger’s new automated products for spg. mills
Seiger Spintech Equipments of Coimbatore brought in a number of new automated products for spinning mills at ITMA. Among which, Seiger has completely automated the process from autoconers to packing. The cones are picked from the autoconers, are conditioned, packed, palletized, bar-coded and also stored or a completely hands free process.
In auto-doffing, its technology does doffing in 90 seconds as against 110-120 seconds in conventional doffers and which can also be retrofitted on existing machines. The company presented a roll transportation system which automates material movement between speed frame and ring frame. Also on show was a latest overhead travelling cleaner, which Mr. G. Radhakrishnan, MD of the company, said is almost maintenance-free, while offering much higher cleaning efficiency.

Swastik’s cone moisture reducing technology
The Ahmedabad-based Swastik Textile Engineers introduced a hydro extractor for cones and packages at ITMA, which is a high performance machine and reduces moisture content on packages well below what was possible on conventional machines.
According to Mr. Amit Mehta, Director of the company, this helps customers reduce energy costs on drying the cones, while the speed of drying the cones is also faster vis-a-vis conventional hydro extracters. The machine has a capacity of around 4 tons per day and the machine eliminates damage to packages while reducing moisture content evenly across all cones.
The company also launched a hydro extractor for fibres which eliminates the need to manually remove and fixing the covers by means of a push button saving around 25 minutes of downtime while doing the process.

Vetri Engineers promotes pneumafils for ring spinning
Vetri Engineers from Coimbatore promoted pneumafils for ring spinning at ITMA. According to Mr. Jayprakash, CEO of the company, in existing ring frames, they have only rotary type filters. When lots of waste fills up, it is difficult to remove the waste. The machine also needs to be stopped to remove the waste. While on the other hand, Pneumafil from Vetri is stationery, there is no piston movement and no energy is required. It is maintenance free and easier to clean. Mr. Jayprakash claims they have already supplied over 5,000 such pneumafils to South Indian textile mills. Mills from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, etc., have shown keen interest in this technology.
