On Gurupurnima, Dipali Goenka pays tribute to her mentor, Mr. Rajesh Mandawewala (RRM). His wisdom and unwavering support have profoundly shaped her personal and professional journey, making him more than a mentor—her true guru. This note is a heartfelt acknowledgment of the invaluable lessons and insights he has imparted.
I want to extend my warmest wishes to RRM, the incredible mentor who has been a guiding light in my life. Stepping into the competitive real world felt intimidating and stifled my natural personality. It was overwhelming when I decided to pursue my career. But then, I found my mentor in RRM, whose wisdom and experience made my journey a fulfilling learning experience.
RRM has been more than a mentor; he’s been my guru. When I began my journey by launching my brand SPACES in 2003, he was there to guide me every step of the way. He taught me about the product, how to work through challenges, and the intricacies of costing and pricing.
Above all, RRM imparted a crucial lesson on business ethics and emphasized the importance of being obsessed with the customer, making customer-centricity the core of decision-making.
This perspective was a game-changer for me. He encouraged me to view innovation in a new light and understand the complexities of running factories.
What stands out most is his patience and unwavering guidance. RRM has been my true guru, always there with a kind word and wise advice. So, on this Gurupurnima, I want to honor the person who has been my North Star, my constant guide. Whenever I need help or clarity, he provides me with wisdom and experience, showing me the path with true pearls of insight.
Thank you, RRM, for being the mentor and guru who has shaped my journey with such grace and wisdom.
