GreCon, located in Alfeld near Hannover, has received an order from Bangladesh for three diversion gates for installation in a recycling dust extraction.
So far, diversion gates have been available for a maximum pipe diameter of 400 mm with a reaction time of < 50 ms. Due to their experiences in other industries, GreCon was able to transfer its know-how to the textile industry to offer customers a solution by installing pipes of a diameter of up to 900 mm. With a distance of about 6 m between the spark detection and the diversion gate, the fast reaction time ensures uninterrupted but safe production.
For more than 30 years, GreCon spark extinguishing systems have been used in different industries in which dust-like organic or inorganic materials are exhausted or pneumatically, mechanically transported by an elevator, for example. They serve to detect sparks, hot or glowing particles and other ignition sources in these conveying systems and to eliminate them before they can cause damage to downstream production facilities. Thus, production facilities which are equipped with GreCon spark extinguishing systems enjoy the advantage that fires or explosions do not occur.
