Gmöhling looking for partners to enter Indian market

Gmöhling is a high quality manufacturer of aluminium trolleys and in-plant transportation solutions for a variety of industries. Started in 1941, the company completed 75 years of innovation and global leadership in 2016. Textiles is one of the key verticals that Gmöhling caters to, providing containers and transport trolleys for its customers.

Mr. Oliver T. Schmitz, Senior Sales Director, Gmöhling

Gmöhling was originally established in 1941 in Germany as an aluminium foundry and was mainly involved in the production of parts for motor vehicle and aeroplane engines. It focused on the textile industry initially, but more areas were added later, e.g., hospitals, pharmaceuticals, intralogistics, etc. Currently, more than 50 per cent of the products manufactured by Gmöhling are sold outside of Germany.

Gmöhling’s product range for the textile industry extends from cloth collection trolleys, flyer bobbin trolleys, bobbin doffer trolleys and tube doffing boxes & tube boxes for ring spinning machines (Zinser/Rieter) to individual transport trolleys and spring-loaded base trolleys, which are also available in versions suitable for steaming machines.

Gmöhling trolleys are mostly made from aluminium which is light weight and resistant against water and humidity. The company uses castors which can withstand heat levels of upto 250 degrees Celsius and supplies trolleys and transport solutions to machinery manufacturers like Saurer and Rieter who then supply to their customers as part of their machines.

Mr. Oliver T. Schmitz, Senior Sales Director, Gmöhling says that breakdown of trolleys at the shop floor could result in halt in production and loss of revenue for customers. Hence it’s important to invest in a high quality, reliable solution that further improves overall productivity.

India is a high quality market for textile manufacturing. Customers invest in the best global solution available. Hence Gmöhling could be a very good fit for the Indian market, says Mr. Oliver Schmitz. The company is looking for a good partner to offer its solutions to customers who appreciate the importance of investing in high quality, reliable solutions.
