Geratex is proud of the response it received at ITMA 2015. “It was the first ITMA for us, and it turned out to be an extremely successful event. We had a large number of visitors from all parts of the world who got introduced to our innovation. We also finalized orders at ITMA with reputed companies. In short, we accomplished our mission that we sought for during the exhibition”, says Mr. K. Venkat Reddy, Managing Director, Geratex Machinery Private Limited.
Geratex world-premiered its innovative technology for textile wet processing machine using Ultrasonic at ITMA. It displayed SonicPreg, which is a desize applicator based on ultrasonics. Since ITMA was an ideal platform, Geratex launchedits innovation to showcase it before the entire textile world. The product is based on the characteristics of Ultrasound.
Ultrasound with a frequency of more than 20,000 Hertz is used to invigorate the medium for inducing high absorption and facilitating effective liquor exchange. The most appealing feature of this machine is its adaptability as it can integrate into an existing range, be it singeing, bleaching, mercerizing or washing. “The advantage of our innovation is that we achieve far better processing results compared to the existing technology and at the same time save electricity, water and chemicals. Our technology has already been applied for patenting”, says Mr. Sinha.
Potential enquiries and finalization of orders
Many textile companies saw a solution in this innovative product for their long-standing absorption issues. The brief demonstration on the effectiveness of ultrasonics on fabric at the stall helped reinforce the customer trust in the company technology. Geratex received a lot of potential enquiries and finalized orders from Brazil, El Salvador, Turkey and India at ITMA. The response from Indian customers was excellent and finalization of orders is expected soon. The manufacturer was appreciated for bringing in a real innovation in wet processing after more than three decades.
The world textile industry is suddenly noticing India as a fountainhead of innovation based on the response the company had from European and American visitors. Active visitor participation also helped in initiating development of new applications in textiles that can be powered by Ultrasonics.
Although Geratex was not located in the processing hall, it had a high number of quality footfalls. The company had visitors from more than 40 countries.
