Ganesha Ecosphere Limited (GESL), a leading player in sustainable textile solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its production capacity through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ganesha Ecopet Private Limited. The company, which has been at the forefront of PET recycling in India, is strengthening its commitment to sustainability and business growth with a strategic investment of ₹700-750 crore.

This expansion plan includes the establishment of a Greenfield project in Odisha and an increase in capacity at its Warangal plant, reinforcing Ganesha Ecosphere’s position as a key contributor to the circular economy.
Massive Capacity Expansion: Odisha and Warangal Plants
As per the latest decision taken by the Board of Directors, Ganesha Ecosphere has revised and expanded its earlier investment plans, increasing the total proposed capacity addition to 90,000 tons per annum (TPA).
The key developments in the expansion plan include:
New Greenfield Project in Odisha – The company is setting up a state-of-the-art facility with a production capacity of 67,500 TPA to manufacture rPET chips/granules, which are crucial for sustainable packaging and textiles. This project marks Ganesha Ecosphere’s entry into Odisha, further expanding its geographical presence.
Expansion of Warangal Plant – The existing facility in Warangal, Telangana, will see a substantial increase in capacity from 42,000 TPA to 64,500 TPA, catering to the growing demand for recycled PET materials.
These expansion initiatives are expected to be completed within 18 months and will significantly enhance Ganesha Ecosphere’s total manufacturing capacity.

Investment and Financing Strategy
The company has earmarked an investment of ₹700-750 crore for this expansion, which will be funded through a mix of debt, equity, and internal accruals. This diversified financing approach ensures financial stability while enabling rapid execution of the project.
Ganesha Ecosphere’s management remains confident that this expansion will strengthen its ability to meet the increasing demand for eco-friendly polyester staple fiber (PSF), yarns, and rPET granules, both in domestic and international markets.
Driving Business Growth with Sustainability
The expansion aligns with Ganesha Ecosphere’s long-term commitment to sustainability and its mission of recycling PET waste into high-quality textile and industrial products. The company has been consistently working towards reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy by repurposing used PET bottles into valuable materials.

With an existing capacity utilization of 75%, this additional production capacity will enable Ganesha Ecosphere to cater to the rising global and domestic demand for sustainable and recycled materials.
A Strategic Step Towards a Greener Future
Ganesha Ecosphere’s bold expansion strategy underlines its leadership in India’s PET recycling industry. With its latest investment in Odisha and Warangal, the company is well-positioned to scale its production, drive innovation, and support India’s sustainability goals.
As businesses and consumers increasingly prioritize eco-friendly materials, Ganesha Ecosphere’s expanded manufacturing capabilities will play a crucial role in shaping a greener and more sustainable future.
