Sintex Industries has announced one of its largest projects in spinning for setting up a new plant with one million spindles. The one million spindles will be installed in three phases with 3,20,000 spindles in the first phase, a similar number in the second phase and 360,000 in the last phase. At full capacity, the plant can produce about 500 tons of yarn a day.
Currently the first phase of expansion is already underway. Of the total production, about 60 per cent would be marketed domestically and the balance would be exported.
Sintex manufactures a range of high-quality yarns, thanks to the machinery deployed and the processes incorporated. These yarns serve as the best solution to the downstream process industry. The yarn varieties organized by Sintex include 100% cotton combed yarns, 100% cotton carded yarns, compact yarns, ring spun yarns, ply yarns, TFO / multi-fold yarns, blended yarns and contamination-free yarns.
Sintex has invested heavily in technology, with an elaborate system for process control at every stage. It has partnered with global leaders for production and for quality control machinery. It has further invested in Truetzschler blowroom and cards, Rieter sliver preparation systems, Marzoli roving preparation, LMW and Rieter ring frames, Suessen compact systems on ring frames, Schlafhorst Auto Coner and Murata Link Coner machines.
Sintex has also invested in Uster AFIS, HVI, UT 6, UTJ and CLASSIMAT 5, contamination cleaning gadgets in the blow room and Uster Quantum 3 with PP control in winding.
