Ferraro SPA has witnessed significant growth in sales volume during 2018, confirming a strong presence in its traditional markets and interesting opportunities in the emerging ones, with specific reference to Asian and African markets. The growth has taken place on account of the existing range of machines with considerable increase, especially for the compacting machine for knitting fabrics, customized for the viscose treatment with rubber (SK Line). Ferraro also expects positive growth for its newly-introduced machines for fabric preparation and washing after printing, says Mr. Alex Zucchi, Managing Director, Ferraro SPA and currently the President of ACIMIT.
The company has been working vigorously to meet the market requirements and has developed and internationally patented two machines, namely, the Rotoclean scouring system for weaving oil removal during fabric preparation, and the Rotoflow washing unit for printed fabrics. Both machines have been designed to meet the most important demands of the market in terms of quality, efficiency, water consumption and energy efficiency.
Ferraro has also developed a revolutionary technology of washing and scouring, which has been well received by customers. The company will showcase both Rotoflow and Rotoclean at ITMA Asia 2018 to be held in Shanghai in October 2018.
Industry 4.0
Speaking about Industry 4.0, Mr. Mr Alex Zucchi said : “Ferraro has introduced the concept of “smart working” through an integrated flow, made possible by the use of digital technologies to enhance speed, quality, flexibility, security and efficiency of the whole production process. Ferraro has signed an exclusive agreement with Senor, becoming the official distributor of its industrial PCs in Italy. The company has added these industrial PCs on all its machines as a standard offering, in the name of a deep integration of the single machine in all the factors of the entire production line”.
Asia’s importance
The Asian market represents a huge potential for the company. Ferraro has significant presence in Asian countries, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Vietnam. The Asian textile industry is growing at a fast pace. The whole sector is experiencing a wave of modernization because of the higher demand for product quality.
In China, with the introduction of Rotoclean and Rotoflow at ITMA Asia Ferraro expects to increase its presence in a market with enormous potential in terms of both numbers and quality.
In India, Ferraro has consolidated its presence for many years across all textile hubs of the country. The name Ferraro is a synonym of high quality and trustworthy brand, having the biggest market share for tubular and open width compacting machines. On August 1 last, Ferraro was enlisted under ATUFS by the Indian Government, thanks to its continuous commitment to quality as certified by ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001. This will grant the companies importing from Ferraro a whole series of economic facilitations in support of the textile sector.
