Exceeds all expectations

TM-Dec-12-12_2The six-day India-ITME 2012, also called the Olympics of Indian textile machinery event, came to an end on December 7 with an overwhelming response from all around. The show was the 9th in a series of textile machinery exhibitions showcasing textile technology, machinery, fibers, garments, accessories and after service.

India ITME Society, a non-profitable organization, is solely responsible for organizing such an exciting event, flawlessly crafted and executed with meticulous precision.

The event attracted more than 820 exhibitors from 50 countries who showcased their best in technology/solutions offered within the textile vertical. It also attracted more than 100,000 visitors from six continents.

The expo was inaugurated by the Chief Guest on the occasion, Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Director, Aditya Birla Group of Companies. She is the first lady ever to have started the India ITME proceedings since 1979. Mr. A.B. Joshi, Textile Commissioner, and Dr. Christian Schlinder, Director General, ITMF, Zurich, were among those who graced the inaugural function.

TM-Dec-12-13_3All the exhibitors showcased a range of latest technologies/products or solutions they offer to the global textile community. A few major conglomerates like A.T.E., LMW and Rieter received exemplary response with very high footfalls at their stalls. To top it all, several projects got green signal at the event and several high value orders were concluded, while many more are in the offing.

Mr. Rajnikant Bachkaniwala, Chairman, ITME, in his address, said: “I am happy to see that India-ITME 2012 has kept up its tradition of very high footfall of serious business visitors. Visitors representing all segments of the manufacturing chain and from almost all Asian textile manufacturing countries have converged here.”

Quality customers comprising top delegates from newly emerging textile markets, eminent technocrats, textile entrepreneurs, senior executives, managers, production staff, textile consultants and textile enthusiasts made the event most successful. This year’s India-ITME was by far the largest textile event in India, covering more than 100,000 sq. metres of exhibitor space, held at the prestigious Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre.

TM-Dec-12-13_2Years of dedicated hard work helped India-ITME Society to organise a successful event of this magnitude. The business meetings held for the visiting delegates and the interaction between visitors and foreign delegates yielded the desired results.

Green Technology Innovative was the highlight of ITME 2012 with more than a dozen new products launched at the show that attracted attention from the industry the world over. The successful conduct of the event has already paved way for the next show in the series to be held in Ahmadabad in 2016.
