Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd., India’s largest polyester manufacturer, has been presented the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2013 in the petrochemical sector.
The Award was presented by the President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee to Mr. Anant Kishore, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer, Indo Rama Synthetics, at a function held in New Delhi, which was attended, among others, by Mr. Jyotiradiyta Scindia, Minister of State for Power.
The Award for Indo Rama is in recognition of its contribution for energy conservation in petrochemicals by adopting various environmental-friendly innovative measures.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. O.P. Lohia, Chairman & Managing Director, said: “It is a great honour and pride for Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd. to win such a prestigious award. The National Energy Conservation Awards, instituted by the Union Ministry of Power, recognize innovations and achievements for efficient utilization and conservation of energy in various sectors like industries, buildings, aviation and municipalities, amongst others.
