Initially as the business grew, Embee expanded into manufacturing several spareparts for textile machines and engineering equipments. Although producing these parts was a difficult task, Embee accomplished it and after completing a series of such difficult tasks, it produced its first textile rotary screen printing machine in the 1990s.
Today the company is providing a complete package of textile rotary printing systems which includes the textile rotary screen printing machine, engraving machine, newly-launched laser stripping machine, complete package for color kitchen systems, washing systems and other accessories. In the field for 60 years, the company, with 40,000 square meters of factory area, 10 manufacturing units, more than 150 employees, offices and warehouses in almost all of the major textile trading centers in India, has created a unique legacy for its future generation of employees as well as its customers.
Embee is involved in trade and business with more than 40 countries worldwide. They have had their presence in the exporting business since 1989, and have a very strong experience in dealing with exports. The company manufactures good export quality products which constitute 40 per cent of the entire revenue. The group is mainly focused on rotary printing systems. As printing is in a good stage globally, even the countries where printing and processing industry were not excelling, are experiencing a growth in this sector. This is true even for India, and the trend is expected to persist for the next decade or so, which is a good sign for Embee.
The company recently expanded into a new factory with 22,000 square meters of space. The new capacity created can produce more than three times the existing capacity. With this new venture, the company hopes to achieve three to four times the existing growth in the near future.

In such a scenario Embee still excels with its 60 years of experience which have made the reputation of the brand super solid. The company introduced a revolutionary product called LaserBird, a laser stripping machine for stripping off the toxic chemical from the printing screens, which pose a threat to the workers in the factory and to the environment. This new machine cleans the screens with a laser beam (covered completely) which converts the chemicals into ashes that no longer are a threat to any worker or the environment. The company has already supplied these machines in the domestic and international markets. This technology offers a very promising future and the company also aims to develop laser engraving machines for textile rotary screens.
Mr. Harsh Shah entered the business around 15 years ago. He now feels Embee is a family business which is like a team. He and his elder brothers are the next generation of the group. Since their coming into the group, a lot of changes have taken place.
He said: “We found ways to improve processes and moved from a traditionally managed to a professionally managed company. We formed departments and systems and shaped the work flow in the company. But more than anything else, we changed the way we used to think of doing business.”
Earlier, the company focused solely on becoming cost efficient, but now it is also focused on becoming a pioneer of new concepts and innovations for value addition and innovations. The company aims to have a base of 10,000 happy customers by 2026. It hopes to maintain the growth and increase it by going with the motto of innovation, efficiency and growth.
