2003 with German major Jacobi,
a pioneer in the field. With its cut-
ting-edge technology in OHTCs,
Simta Machinery Pvt. Ltd. offers
both chain and belt-driven models.
Its plant currently produces around
120 OHTCs per month and sup-
plies them to leading textile mills
like the Ramco Group, Vardhman,
etc., commanding a domestic mar-
ketshare of over 40 per cent.
As the cost of raw materials kept
moving up, the company took
a bold decision to start its own
weaving unit in 2006 at Palladam
HiTech Park, producing the spindle
tape fabric from this unit. The unit
consists of latest imported rapier
machines from Smith of Italy, a
sectional warping machine and a
twisting machine.
Simta has a distinct role in the
textile industry because of its inno-
vative outlook, valuable knowledge
and untiring efforts. Exporting to
more than 50 countries across the
globe and with an annual turnover
of Rs. 45 crores in 2010-11, this is
just the beginning for the company
and its young team. The group has
set an ambitious target of Rs. 100
crores in turnover by 2015.
What better way to acquire maxi-
mum exposure than at ITMA 2011.
Simta will have a mighty presence
at this year’s show, sharing a stall
with its German JV company, Jaco-
bi. Focusing primarily on bobbin
transport systems, the company’s
stall will also be showcasing its reg-
ular products like OHTCs, clearer
rollers, synthetic spindle tapes, etc.
In view of the general shortage
of labour in India, Simta will be
encouraging the use of bobbin
transport systems to ensure lesser
manpower and higher product ef-
ficiency. The systems are available
in three variants – manual, semi
and fully automatic – tailored to
the needs of the customer.
