Japanese companies have been
the epitome of quality and systems.
To work closely with not just one but
many Japanese companies means
you share the same philosophy.
Mangal Singh Brothers (MSB) is
one such company which has had
the fortune of working closely with
many Japanese manufacturers
dealing in their products in India.
The first Japanese connection
happened in 1980 with a compa-
ny called Mitsuboshi for selling its
power transmission belts in India.
For the last 30 years, MSB has been
the sole distributor of Mitsuboshi
products in the Indian market. The
company deals in power transmis-
sion, timing or conveying applica-
tion ranging from Vee belts, timing
belts, flat belts and conveyor belts.
It has also partnered with Nitta,
another leading Japanese com-
pany in the belts business, for flat
belts. Nitta is an OEM to Schlaf-
horst of Germany.
“MSB is today an OEM to all ma-
jor machinery manufacturers. We
have a major share of business
with most of the machinery manu-
facturers. We also work very close-
ly with all the textile companies
across India”, says Mr. Rivkaran
Singh Chadha, Director of MSB.
MSB imports these belts in jumbo
rolls and converts them in different
sizes based on the customer and
market requirements. The compa-
ny sells Mitsuboshi and Nitta prod-
ucts in India and Bangladesh.
To enhance its presence in the
textile industry and nurture its am-
bition of becoming a full-fledged
manufacturer, MSB joined hands
with another Japanese compa-
ny called Kureha Elastomer for
producing cots and aprons. The
company has established an inde-
pendent manufacturing facility for
producing cots and aprons of Jap-
anese quality and standard for the
Indian as well as global markets.
Kureha is a 50-year-old com-
pany manufacturing a variety of
rubber products, including cots
and aprons. It is a regular supplier
of cots and aprons to Toyoda and
