The company says: “The re-
sponse was overwhelming from the
visitors world over, who were very
impressed with innovations & es-
pecially - capabilities & scope of de-
velopments through TEZ. Lot of In-
dian customers from leading groups
for all the product segments offered
by Groz-Beckert visited the stall”.
GB is a 150-year-old history and
a pioneer in inventing knitting ma-
chine needles. Today the product
portfolio meets the requirement of
the entire textile world with more
than 70,000 types of product. With
its Technology and Development
Centre (TEZ) the company is si-
multaneously strengthening and ex-
panding its position as the world’s
leading provider of precision com-
ponents, system and services for
the most diverse textile production
methods.
In the large circular knitting sec-
tor, Groz-Beckert presented the Vo-
LC-needle. The new needle genera-
tion is available for body seamless
machines and large circular knitting
machines. The Vo-LC-needle com-
bines long years of know-how with
numerous patented details. There
are good reasons for the label “Per-
fection in Precision”.
CylinderMaster
The Groz-Beckert CylinderMaster
represents simple, reliable, rapid and
safe cylinder changes on large diam-
eter circular knitting machines with
diameters from 26” up. The machine
is an entirely new development that
considerably simplifes manual re-
moval and insertion of cylinders on
large diameter circular knitting ma-
chines. The risk of employee injury
or of improper handling resulting
in damage to the cylinder is almost
completely ruled out.
Due to a needle modifcation,
large diameter circular knitting ma-
chines can now be produced at even
higher speed. Specifcally, Groz-
Beckert has made changes to the
cheek geometry. At the same time,
the service life of the needles has
been extended.
GB India
Started in 1960, GB has complet-
ed 50 years of its operations in India
through its subsidiary Groz-Beckert
Asia (GBA). At Chandigarh, GBA
has two manufacturing units for
knitting & sewing machine needles
and a sales team to take care of mar-
kets in India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
India is the second largest market
for GB globally, after China.
In a statement, GB observes:
“Growth in Indian market shall be
there in future, especially for high
quality & high performance prod-
ucts. Quality of fnal product, short-
er lead periods & continued short-
age of skilled labour will push the
demand for automation in industry
and high performance machines and
accessories. The current situation
due to multiple factors of recession-
ary trends in US and Europe, volatil-
ity in raw material prices, rising cost
of fnances, labour shortage, etc.,
may not be encouraging enough,
but the textile industry in India has
the strength to bounce back once the
situation is improving on global sce-
nario”.
