MW Unitexx,
a consortium of leading
uniform fabric manufacturer
Commenting on the coming together of the entire
gamut of its textile businesses under the newly formed
MW Unitexx, the Chairman of MW Corp, Mr. Mukul
Kasliwal, said: “All the companies in MWUnitexx have
performed exceedingly well, wherein both S.Kumars
Unitexx and Klopman have witnessed a turnaround in
the last fnancial year. I am happy about this achieve-
ment and look forward to continued excellence in the
coming years.”
Klopman achieved an annual revenue of over INR 700
crores with a EBIT of INR 29.54 crores in FY 2010-11.
This has been a remarkable turnaround from the previ-
ous year where it had incurred losses.
MW Unitexx was formed out of consolidation of the
three textile entities, S.Kumars Ltd., S.Kumars Unitexx
and Klopman International. MW Unitexx represents the
consolidated textile business of MW Corp.
S.Kumars, a household name in India, is synonymous
with the term ‘Value for Money’ and is a market leader
in uniforms. A front-runner in the manufacturing and
marketing of various textile products ranging from
yarns, fabrics to garments, S.Kumars has a country-
wide distribution network of around 200 dealers and an
extensive network of retail outlets reaching every corner
of the country. It is focused on providing “uniform solu-
tions” to schools and institutions alike. S.Kumars covers
a wide gamut of industries with products ranging from
Uniforms and Workday wear to Corporate-wear.
Capitalising on its inherent strength of being a market
leader in uniforms in India, MW Corp acquired Klop-
man International in 2008. Klopman is Europe’s No.1
Work-Wear and Protective- Wear brand with over 30
MW Unitexx Ltd. has registered a rea-
sonable growth in revenue and profit for
the half year ended September 2011.
MW Unitexx is the textile arm of MW
Corp. MW Unitexx Ltd. came into being in
October 2011 after consolidation of the
textile businesses of S.Kumars Ltd., a
market leader in uniform fabrics in India,
Klopman International, the No.1 player in
work-wear and protective-wear fabrics in
Europe, and S.Kumars Unitexx Ltd., the
ready-to-wear uniform company. MW Uni-
texx has a total production capacity of
70 million metres per annum, making it
the largest uniforms fabric manufacturer
in the world.
