The International Textile Machinery Exhibition,
the fourth edition of which will be organized jointly
with Texpo Eurasia International Textile Exhibition,
will be held at Istanbul during April 21-24, 2012.
Another concurrent event is the HIGHTEX 2012.
The synergy to be created with the matching of
these two world exhibitions will accelerate the re-
covery of the Turkish textile industry. Turkey, one
of the world’s leading investment destinations for
textiles, has its industrial potential, technical experi-
ence and know-how, qualifed personnel as well as
rich R&D resources.
As per the international trade statistics, it is obvi-
ous that the world textile industry has completely
come out of the global crisis of 2008-09, and invest-
ments in the Turkish textile sector keep expanding.
In this scenario, the ITM Texpo Eurasia 2012
assumes special signifcance and is expected to be
visited by industry-related people from the neigh-
boring countries in large numbers. The Turkish tex-
tile manufacturers will then have the opportunity to
place new machinery orders.
Technologies to be exhibited at ITM 2012 relate to
cotton and fber preparation, yarn preparation, yarn
twisting, weaving preparation and weaving, fat and
circular knitting, quilting, hosiery, embroidery, dye-
ing, printing, fnishing, as well as textile chemicals,
laboratory equipments and quality control systems.
The participants and visitors at the previous ITMs
included those from the US, Germany, Austria, Bra-
zil, Belgium, the Czech Republic, China, Denmark,
France, etc. The forthcoming exhibition is expected
to attract more participants and trade visitors.
