a fully automated plant.
Although Elgi Electric is gener-
ally considered a premium solution
provider, Mr. Jagadesh said the
company is now in a position to ca-
ter to the requirement of every cus-
tomer in the market by providing the
right solution at every price point.
In OHTCs, the company is the
clear market leader with an 80 per
cent share in the domestic market.
With over 70,000 OHTCs running
at various locations across India and
the world over, it has its dominat-
ing presence in this segment with
its capacity to produce 220 units per
month.
Another important product offer-
ing which the company is bullish on
is the pneumavac system. “Normally
pneumavac waste is collected in the
ring frame. Instead, we are now of-
fering an automated system wherein
the waste is collected automatically
and sent to a waste recovery or recy-
cle system. With severe labor short-
age across industries, customers are
increasingly looking for pneumafil
waste collection system”, added Mr.
Jagadeesh.
Elgi Electric is also a major player
in yarn conditioning systems. It sells
five-six units per month and has
orders on hand for the next eight
months. However, offtake is mainly
in summer.
