New product launches next year
Eliar Elektronik of Turkey, a major global player in the field of dye house controllers and automation systems, is consolidating its business under one roof. The company’s mechatronics division Eliar Elektromekanik which was started in 1996 for mechatronic application has been merged with the parent company for more efficient use of resources. Mr. Omur AKCA, will be the Regional Manager of Eliar responsible for the Indian market for Eliar products.
“The merger of the two entities is a very positive decision. It adds strength to the mechatronics and the controller group in terms of research and development and better market access and reach”, says Mr. Omur AKCA.
Eliar Elektronik San A.S., founded in Istanbul in 1984, started manufacturing automatic control devices. It focused on developing both hardware and software in the area of industrial control supported by in-house research and development activities on microprocessor applications that started gaining importance in the beginning of 1990s.
Eliar had important contributions to sectors like textiles finishing, glass, ceramics and chemicals in their passage to automation through a number of devices, integrated system and software. Eliar started serving the textiles sector towards the close of 1980s by producing fabric and thread dyeing control devices. The advanced TBB series and later the T7 series designed and produced for textiles dyeing machine automation found application within the country and outside from 1990.
Starting from 1996, activities on Mechatronics started. The first application was the RD96 that was the liquid chemicals measurement and distribution system for textiles dye houses. It was designed for measuring chemicals in storage tanks and transferring to the related machines. It was developed as a system to operate fully automatically with no human intervention by real-time data interchange with machine programmers and prescription programs.
The Teleskop dyeing monitoring software was developed by Eliar for providing graphical monitoring, archiving and reporting of dyeing processes by forming communication with all dyeing control devices and RD96.
Eliar soon became competent in complete automation, growing in status from the level of dyeing machines in dye houses to the level of management information systems. Currently, in India, Eliar’s mechatronic products are handled by A.T.E. The company is planning to enhance its engagement with A.T.E. both in India and Bangladesh.
“A.T.E has an excellent network and an experienced team. We see them as a strong partner for our growth in Indian market and have been working for Eliar since 2008 and we have well established the products of Eliar in India. We have supplied a package solution to Shahi – Simoga, NSL Textiles – Hyderabad, and Venus Texties – Surat, and also we have supplied many dispensing systems across India. As such, India is looking for automation, especially on dispensing by which the end users can save on cost. Our customers are very happy with the performance of the products of Eliar, and we are confident that we could increase our market share multifold”, adds Mr. S. Rajendran, Vice President – Processing, A.T.E. Enterprises Ltd.
Eliar is currently offering a range of automation solutions for dye houses. It has recently launched a laboratory pipetting system and a fully automatic printing paste dispenser. These solutions are developed by Eliar-based on in-depth understanding of the market and customer requirements. The company will soon be launching its state-of-the-art new controller series.
Eliar is fast growing in popularly in all major markets across the globe, including the Middle East, Russia, Uzbekistan, Syria, Iran and Egypt. In its home land, the company has been doing a lot of dyehouse retrofittings and providing fully automated dispensing solutions. It undertook many such projects last year.
With growth momentum picking up in global markets, including Europe and the US, Eliar expects growing demand for its products in the days ahead.
