Elbit Vision starts selling systems to German warp knitting specialist

Elbit Vision Systems Ltd., a global leader in the field of automatic
in-line optical web inspection and quality monitoring systems, has
sold a first IQ-TEX 4 to Liba Maschinenfabrik GmbH. The sale follows
the execution of a framework agreement with Liba in November 2011 for
the sale, commissioning and maintenance of EVS automatic visual
systems to Liba, as part of Liba’s solution for its existing customer
base.
Mr. Sam Cohen, EVS CEO, said: “Liba customers will be able to enjoy
the state-of-the-art solutions by EVS to increase efficiency and
productivity in the manufacturing process, using EVS leading product
IQ-TEX 4. IQ-TEX 4 is a fully integrated image acquisition &
processing system built on EVS’ proprietary Smart Vision Camera (SVC)
platform. This latest EVS innovation utilizes high resolution color
line scan technology and enhanced Defect Sorting Algorithms (DSA), to
achieve unparalleled defect detection and interpretation”.
With the capability to detect defects <0.1 mm in size, at speeds of up
to 1,000 meters per minute, the IQ-TEX 4 is designed to provide Vision
Empowered Monitoring (VEM) at each stage of manufacturing. From
process or defect specific applications to the final inspection of
finished products, this solution is tailor-made to meet each
customer’s individual needs. Its narrow profile and modular frame
allow for seamless integration into virtually any operation.
Karlheinz Liebrandt, Liba Managing Director, said: “Quality
requirements for the production of textiles in the composite industry
are permanently increasing, and that’s the case not only in aerospace.
Our machine customers do ask for more complete and integrated system,
to assure any upcoming quality standards in their production. Based on
the co-operation with EVS, we can fulfill these needs with the latest
state-of-the-art technology.”
EVS offers a broad portfolio of automatic state-of-the-art visual
inspection systems for both in-line and off-line applications, and
process monitoring systems used to improve product quality and safety,
as also to increase production efficiency. EVS’ systems are used by
over 650 customers, mostly leading global companies.
