Coimbatore-based VXL Group has made a distinct mark for itself in the Bangladesh market with its quality product range. While VXLRT has become a leading name for ring travellers, VXL Systems has carved a niche for itself with its waste evacuation and baling systems.
We caught up with the duo of N.Damodharan and R.Govindaraju, Chief Executives of the group and got to know more about their foray into the Bangladesh market.
The company has had a presence in the Bangladesh market for the past 15 years. “We have been selling our rings and ring travellers regularly and have a reasonably good market share in the country. Our capital machinery division – VXL Systems has also got a widespread customer base here. Our waste collection systems have gained good traction in Bangladesh,” said Damodharan.
After market support
The group has got 3 agents representing it in the Bangladesh market. “Apart from our agents, our team frequently visits the country to take care of our customer’s needs. We have been very successful in ensuring that we are close to the customer, giving them support, for all their requirements, “he added.
Going into details on the importance of the market, Govindaraju stated with Bangladesh being one of the fastest growing market for spinning, it has always been a key market for the group and that it has been regularly participating in all the trade fairs that are held in the country.
When asked on what makes their products stand out, he said, “In terms of rings and travellers, we have a very innovative product range. We offer a wide range of ring travellers including, ‘Alpha’, ‘Ultimate’, ‘Ultimate +’, ‘Ulti-Fein’, ‘Startech’, ‘Ace Jet’, ‘Astra’ and ‘Plus Series’. The range includes rings for every purpose. We are technologically strong. We are always seeking feedback from our customers and incorporating advances in technology in our products. We have been able to achieve good results in the market here.”
Echoing similar sentiments, Damodharan added,” Our team is regularly travelling to Bangladesh. This has ensured fantastic customer relations. We have also trained our agents here for offering after sales technical support. This apart, our team has also developed an advanced CRM software, with we are able to understand every customer’s unique needs. We get readymade data on what is happening in the mills. This data enables us to offer excellent support to our customers.”
Elaborating on the key role played by the group’s products on the sustainability front, Govindaraju said,” If you look at our waste collection systems, they come with a lot of innovations that attracts customers. Till such time we entered they were mostly using Chinese brands. But we offer innovative systems from blow room till ring frame. These machines are also user-friendly and offer better control over quality, while also helping sustainability. We have been receiving a lot of enquiries for our waste collection and baling systems.”
Bright future
The group has lined up exciting growth plans for the future in the Bangladesh market. “As far as rings and travellers are concerned, we have introduced all our new products such as ‘Ace Jet’, ‘Astra’ and ‘Plus Series’, here. With respect to our waste collection systems, we are going to launch an exclusive marketing drive to make our presence felt further. We are planning a separate team to be placed in Bangladesh to educate customers and make them understand what we are doing. We are confident that this drive will make a big difference.”
Adding further on the topic, Govindaraju mentioned, “While we do understand that the textile industry is on a bit of a downtrend globally, the Bangladesh market, particularly with respect to spinning is doing well because of their government policies. With our thrust on innovation, quality and customer service, we are sure of our continued growth in this market.”
