Dow Corning, a global leader in innovative silicon-based technologies, has set up a new application development center in India to serve the growing demand for silicone materials and services in the region. This center offers state-of-the-art local support for Dow Corning’s global innovation and sustainability initiatives, as well as closer collaboration with customers to provide solutions customized for the region.
“The application development center provides a platform for application development as well as technical support and expertise. It is staffed by scientists and engineers who work closely with the sales and marketing professionals to more effectively collaborate with customers and meet their needs. This allows Dow Corning to offer better access to customized silicon-based solutions in key Indian industries, like automotive, beauty and personal care, construction, household care, packaging and textile,” said Serge Creutz, Dow Corning’s Director of Science and Technology for India and Europe.
“Dow Corning’s new application development center in India, along with our India office and distribution center, enables us to take better advantage of the growth opportunities in the India silicone market. We continue to be committed to the region and our customers, and to develop more advanced and sustainable solutions that help us positively impact quality of life for all,” said Peter Cartwright, Dow Corning’s Regional President for India, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Around the globe, and in India, silicone materials are helping humans live better, healthier, safer lives. Silicones can help advance innovation, enable performance, speed and simplify manufacturing, increase productivity, contribute to industrial growth, and help preserve natural resources.
