We spoke to Mr. Jitender Pal Singh, Business Head- Textile and Mr. Kamal Kulshreshtha, Head – International Business Development & Sales on the company’s recent performance, the USP of its machines, its presence in the domestic and global markets, after sales service focus.
Company’s performance
On the company’s recent performance Mr. Jitender Pal Singh said: “2018-19 has been a fantastic year for us. In the domestic market we continue to be the leaders in our segment. We have achieved certain milestones, from the user’s perspective, as well as from the overall machine installation figures. The year was also good for us internationally. We have entered some new markets, in Europe for example, and strengthened our presence in the Bangladesh market. All this is a very good stepping stone for us to leap forward”.
Mr. Kamal Kulshreshtha, while going into details about the textile printing industry in India said:” It is a fast-growing industry here. Today we have a sizable presence. In the segment that we are in – primarily digital printing, we are the leaders.”
Different approach
Explaining the company’s different approach which has made it successful, Mr. Jitender Pal Singh pointed out:” We don’t just sell a machine to our customer. Our approach is to hand hold the customer right from the sale to his overall future growth strategy. We want to partner in the customer’s growth. With Colorjet, even a fresher to the industry can come and grow to different levels. This includes proper hand holding from the application point of view too. We want our customers to get the best out of our machines. Ours is a comprehensive approach. Its not like we sell the machine and forget the customer.”
When asked to point out the key reasons a customer in India should choose ColorJet, given the wide choice on offer, Mr. Kamal Kulshreshtha said:” The most important is that we are an Indian manufacturer. People have realized that the kind of support that you get from a manufacturer is vastly different from what you get from a dealer. Remember this is important because digital printing is new to everyone here, to the buyers and the sellers. We understand Indian textile industry and we understand the concerns of a buyer and address them. Take for example, the machine that we are displaying here at Knit Tech 2019. We are demonstrating digital printing on knitted fabrics, which is always a challenge. We are showing them how easily our machine is able to do the printing inspite of the curling selvdges of cut-open knit fabric. Seeing is believing, you see.”
During the show Colorjet team did an impromptu sample print for a potential buyer who brought his own fabric and design file. Normally there are lot of challenges in printing on knitted fabric. Colorjet feels it has the perfect product to offer for this segment. At Knit Tech in Tirupur, Colorjet demonstrated an 8 printhead Vastrajet machine on elastic knit fabric as well as woven fabric.
Listing down a few more reasons Mr. Jitender Pal Singh pointed out that customers get a value for money proposition with ColorJet. “The value comes from the product’s quality, reliability, and of course the uptime.
