We will aim to leverage our extensive channel partner and service centre network for better pre- and post-sales support to create a unique proposition for our range of industrial pumps”.
C.R.I. Pumps Private Ltd. is the largest pump manufacturer and exporter with an expected turnover of over Rs. 1,000 crores in 2012-13. It exports its products to more than 80 countries and has been presented the EEPC Export Excellence Award for the ninth time in a row for its export performance.
The new ECP & ECH range of pumps, each in 12 different series, were launched at the prestigious Indian Pumps, Valves & Systems exposition in Pune. In October, C.R.I. acquired the pumps business from the UK-based Pumps & Process Systems Ltd., and these pumps are based on the technology from the newly acquired business. These are the first among the several new pumps to be produced by the company in the near future.
“With the newly launched products, along with a complete range of butterfly, gate, globe and check valves, C.R.I. Industrial Solutions Division is now in a position to offer comprehensive fluid handling solutions to a diverse range of applications across different industries. We have recently also launched our global research centre, the Fludyne Advanced Technology Centre, which has more than 100 engineers working with the latest design tools and a state-of-the-art prototyping and testing facilities,” Mr. Koranne added.
While the global market for pumps is estimated at $34 billion, the Indian market is estimated at Rs. 7,000 crores, with a compounded annual growth rate of around 18-20 per cent over the next five years. The market for pumps for a variety of Industrial applications is estimated at Rs. 4,000 crores.
“We aim to garner 10% in the next few years with a slew of new products in the newly forayed industrial segment,” said Mr. Koranne.
The ECP & ECH range of pumps are designed for high efficiency, solid handling capacity and low maintenance. Greater wear life, ease of maintenance and higher interchangeability across different models ensure better performance at lower lifetime costs. All the models are designed for vertical as well as horizontal configuration and can be customized to specific customer requirements.
The ECP series is specifically used in handling paper, pulp and process liquors, effluents, dyes and chemicals and almost all other corrosive fluids in cement, chemical, dyes, pharma, paints, food & beverage and several other industries.
The ECH series, on the other hand, can handle highly erosive and corrosive fluids with suspended solids and slurries, typically in heavy duty mining, mineral processing, steel, aluminum and other metals manufacturing, coal slurry handling, fly ash handling in power plants, cement handling and all other industries that require abrasive slurries and suspended slurries handling.
