Global launch of 4-point bobbin holder at ITMA
Swiss-based global textile machinery major Rieter recently honored Autotex by presenting it the ‘Best Quality’ Award for its products, as well as elevating it as the ‘Reliable Global Supplier’.
Autotex has stood to the statement of Rieter – “Achieving growth through high performance partnership”. The very name Autotex conjures up images of a world class range of bobbin holders. The company which had created ripples in the Indian market earlier this year with the launch of its one-of-its-kind innovation, bobbin holder, with patented 4 point holder and suspension system, is all set for the global launch of this revolutionary product at ITMA 2015.
In an exclusive interaction, Mr. M.R. Ramanujam, Managing Director, of the company, gave detailed insights into the ‘Best Quality’ Award from Rieter, the company’s participation in ITMA 2015, and its future plans.
Strict adherence to global quality standards has been one of the cornerstones of the Autotex success story. Explaining the company’s core philosophy behind its quality focus, Mr. Ramanujam said: “We take immense pride in our quality assurance process. ‘Quality First’, ’Performance’ and ‘Functionality Innovation’ have always been our main motto.”
Mr. Ramanujam added: “It is indeed a great honour for Autotex to receive this Award. We feel honoured that Rieter have nominated us as ‘Self Certified Supplier’ for all their requirements.” In fact, Autotex fully meets Rieter’s entire annual global requirements of bobbin holders.
Apart from being the preferred choice of Rieter, Autotex also supplies bobbin holders to several other globally reputed OEMs, including, Saurer Schlafhorst, Toyota, Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW), Marzoli Spa, etc.
ITMA 2015 participation
On this happy note, Autotex is all set for the global launch of its unique bobbin holder with suspension system and 4 point holding at ITMA 2015. Going into details on the global launch, Mr. Ramanujam observed: “ITMA is undoubtedly the biggest event for the textile industry. The event attracts people from around the world, since there is some takeaway for every stakeholder in the textile industry. We couldn’t have asked for a better platform than ITMA 2015 for the global launch of our latest product.”
Further elaborating he pointed out: “We have already made a successful foray into several key global markets. This event provides us with yet another opportunity to further expand the reach of the Autotex brand globally.”
Innovation-driven enterprise
The ability to constantly innovate has been one the driving forces behind the Autotex success story. A strong R&D focus and ability to respond rapidly to ever-changing market trends has seen Autotex become a technology trend-setter. This penchant for innovation has been instrumental in Autotex becoming the first company in the Indian market to introduce bobbin holders with a trouble-free ratchet mechanism in 1992 and the first to introduce bobbin holders for the autocreel system in 1995. The company subsequently invented in 2005 its patented bobbin holder with Multi Brake System (MBS). In 2015 the bobbin holder with suspension system and 4 point holding is the latest to join this distinguished list.
Going into details on the innovation focus, Mr. Ramanujam said: “We live in an era of an increasingly discerning and demanding customer. We are also living in times where technology changes very fast. Competition is rising by the day. How do you then build enduring, long-term relationship with customers in such a scenario? It is only through continuous innovation.”
It is this commitment to innovation that is also behind the 4 point holding system bobbin holder, the design and mechanism of which have been patented by the company. The Autotex R&D team had gathered feedback about the latest technology and design features of bobbin transporting system, increasing package weight of the roving bobbins, accuracy requirement in the bobbin preparation, incorporated safety features , and came up with the concept of a 4 point holding bobbin holder.
While bobbin holder is the flagship product of the company, it also manufactures fluff collectors, fluff protectors and a few more plastic injection-moulded accessories and components too.
Future plans
Commenting on the future plans of the company, Mr. Ramanujam said: “In 2016, you can look forward to some new launches. We are also in the process of expanding our distributor network and welcome like-minded entities to join and grow with us from unrepresented geographical territories.”
