A.T.E. processing accessories, retrofits ensure high value addition

A.T.E. has established strong leadership in the textile processing segment through its representation of some of the major global machinery manufacturers, including Monforts, Fong’s, Eliar, Zimmer, Osthoff-Senge, and Mahlo. But capital investments in technology and processes are complete only if customers are supported with an authentic source for their accessories, spares and consumables. The Processing Accessories and Consumables (PAC) division at A.T.E. Enterprises fills this space aptly.

PAC offers a wide range of high quality accessories and retrofits from world renowned manufacturers that are aimed at enhancing the functionality and adding value to textile processing machines. At a time when textile mills are deferring their decisions to make capital investments, upgrades and retrofits that require less investment can help customers tide over a tough phase and still produce optimal results. “The focus of PAC is on cost saving, optimization and process control,” says Mr. Naik, Business Head, PAC, A.T.E. Enterprises.

Some of the important principals of this division include Advance Cooling, Mahlo, Osthoff-Senge, Dunline, CEIA, Ronson, Valence, and Luwa. Here is an overview of the some of the products on offer from PAC.

Advance Cooling

Advance Cooling is a pioneer in heat control solutions. It offers a range of heat management devices and solutions for reliable and trouble-free operation of equipment and systems. The solutions offered are tailored to meet harsh operating conditions – high heat, humidity, dust, etc. The company was the first in India to manufacture panel air conditioners. Advance Cooling’s products are CE certified and adhere to stringent quality and environmental norms. “We are looking for the OEM market for panel air conditioners”, says Mr. Naik.

Mahlo process control

Mahlo offers control and monitoring equipment with an aim to achieve high productivity, cost efficiency, resource allocation, consistent and repeatable quality with short lead times. The Mahlo process control range includes systems for measuring and controlling substrate width, humidity and air volume, dwell time in drying, product stretch and shrinkage, moisture and residual moisture, weight per area, thread density, substrate temperature, and online colour.

Mahlo process control equipment is applicable for: stenters, vertical drying ranges, and shrinking ranges.

Osthoff-Senge online hairiness tester

With the Osthoff-Senge online hairiness tester it is possible to gain substantial savings in gas consumption by controlling the singeing effect carefully. The online hairiness tester is a proven product that will ensure repeatability; once the settings are adjusted, future batches are singed with the same settings.

Dunline is a world-class manufacturer since last 7+ decades, specialized in producing the best quality rubber belts used to mechanically pre-shrink cloth, which then can be used to manufacture clothing and other products. Dunline is the world’s largest manufacturer of endless rubber shrinking belts. Sold in over 85 countries around the world, Dunline is the preferred rubber belt of some of the best OEM machine manufacturers and quality-conscious cloth producers throughout the world.

CEIA

CEIA S.p.A., is a pioneer in the field of solutions in safety and associated cost savings, catering to various sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, food industry, etc.
CEIA electronic metal detectors are universally recognized by leading world class manufacturers of industrial machinery for their high quality and reliability. CEIA’s industrial metal detectors are the ideal means of protection for production lines against accidental damage caused by pieces of metal which can enter the manufacturing process along with the material. They are capable of detecting miniscule amounts (particles of up to 0.88 mm size are detected) of both ferrous as well as non-ferrous metals.

A.T.E. is now also entrusted with the responsibility for selling CEIA’s THS/21 conveyor-type metal detection system for the textile industry.

Ronson material handling systems

Ronson is engaged in the design, development and manufacture of textile processing equipment. Ronson offers a wide range of products which include A-frame trolleys, shoe trolleys, slow rotating stations, centre winders, hydraulic trolley movers, and battery operated tow trucks, etc., which are well known for their reliability, robust construction, low maintenance and ease of operations. The company has some very successful installations in countries such as the US, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Nigeria, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Valence Electrons, a part of the A.T.E. Group, provides world class industrial static control products and solutions. In most industrial situations, static lowers productivity and creates quality problems. Valence AC static eliminator bars are designed to eliminate static-induced problems, and thus help to optimize productivity and quality.

Luwa/GreCon heat recovery systems

Luwa offers high performance air-water, water-water, and gas-water heat recovery systems. Luwa’s low-maintenance heat recovery systems use waste water, air or gas and pass them through tailor-made cross-flow heat exchangers that transfer the recovered heat back into the production process or to pre-heat fresh air or feed water, thus offering good energy saving and efficiency. Additionally, these solutions can be integrated into existing production lines. A Luwa heat recovery system can be used on up to four stenters, and offers fast RoI.

Luwa also provides fire protection systems through its partnership with GreCon. Based in Germany, GreCon is a world-renowned manufacturer of fire protection systems that is in use in various industries. The spark sensors in the GreCon fire protection systems are sensitive enough to detect sparks within milliseconds, thus greatly reducing the risk of fires in stenters.

A.T.E. drum/spring filter

A.T.E.’s drum filter is a low-power, compactly constructed device that minimizes fluff during processing and reduces maintenance. Additionally, the drum filter also increases efficiency of a caustic recovery plant in terms of steam consumption. The drum filter is available in varying capacities depending on the process requirement – 6m3/hr, 13m3/hr, and higher capacities (up to 20m3/hr). A.T.E. drum filters are also applicable in de-sizing and washing tanks.

For the textile processors, A.T.E.’s focus and drive to promote processing accessories and retrofits could not have come at a better time. “In a short span of time after setting up this separate division, we have been able to understand the customer requirements and provide them the perfect solutions to improve productivity, quality and save cost by being more energy efficient”, says Mr. Naik confidently.
