A seminar on ‘Enhance your printing quality with state-of-the-art nickel screens’ was organized in Tirupur on October 5 by A.T.E. Enterprises along with its principals Screen O Tex India Pvt. Ltd. More than 80 delegates from Tamil Nadu, and a few from Karnataka attended it.
In his inaugural address, Mr. S. Rajendran, Business Group Head – TEG Processing, A.T.E. Enterprises, briefly outlined the partnership between A.T.E. and Screen O Tex. Despite periodic upheavals in the Indian textile industry, its long-term prospects are quite good. As regards market potential, China enjoys about 35% market share in textiles, while India has only about 5%, and if India could tap even 1% of China’s share, it would result in a huge windfall for its textile industry.
Mr. Sudesh Khanna, Managing Director, Screen O Tex, gave an overview of the group’s activities, its products and their salient features. This was followed by a presentation by the group consultant, Dr. Stefan Balankenborg, from the Netherlands, who outlined into the benefits of quality screens, especially high-quality nickel screens with European technology. The company vision is to make the best screens not only in India, but also overseas.
In his presentation on the seminar theme, Mr. Kuldeep Rawat, Product Head, Screen O Tex, observed how the company has emerged the largest manufacturer of screens in India in terms of quantity and how it had over the last five years clocked double-digit growth consistently every year. He also threw light on the company’s quality control process as well as R&D, both of which have been the cornerstone of the company’s remarkable growth story.
Set up in 2001, Screen O Tex manufactures a world-class range of screens, including, Altus Screens, Novus Screens, Tech Screens and the newly launched Vega Screens. Apart from being a market leader in India, the company also exports its products to several key global markets.
Mr. Suhit Khanna, in his address, touched upon the success of Screen O Tex and cited the example of a few key milestones achieved by the company.
